The Alan T. Brown Power of We Campaign

Alan T. BrownThis past January 2nd, after 24 years of living with paralysis, I realized how long I have been sitting in a wheelchair. I wanted to do something to bring together this community of people who have touched my life and whose lives I have touched.

The Alan T. Brown Power of We Campaign provides this call to action as we approach the 25th anniversary of my living with spinal cord injury. By committing to at least "one year" each, individuals and groups from throughout my life are coming together to help raise a minimum of $250,000 for the Reeve Foundation this year, or $10,000 for each of 25 years.

Every supporting individual and group has a unique story and connection to me. Each of the past 25 years corresponds with a different area of the spinal cord (from the cervical through the lumbar regions) and is being committed to by a different individual or group. While my supporters are raising our goal year by year, level by level, we are just getting started on what we can do together to develop cures for spinal cord injury and care for community members living with paralysis. My personal mantra has always been, "Never Say Never," and your support is helping to turn this motto into an initiative that is helping to change lives for the better.
