The Community Fitness and Wellness Facility at Frazier Rehab Institute in collaboration with the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation’s NeuroRecovery Network provide individuals with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities the opportunity to be ‘fit for life’. This activity-based exercise program is designed to improve and maintain cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and flexibility.
Frazier Rehab’s Community Fitness Facility is fully accessible with state of the art equipment and professional staff trained to provide specialized activity based exercise interventions such as locomotor training, functional electrical stimulation, and guided exercise. With your support we can continue to improve the health and quality of life of those living with disabilities in our community and across the nation.
We want to thank you for supporting Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.

Adam Mueller began participating in the Community Fitness and Wellness program at Frazier Rehab in 2011. Adam has a T5-T6 spinal cord injury from a motor vehicle accident in March of 2009. Adam relocated to Louisville, KY from Missouri to focus on his recovery and spends 5 days per week in the gym. He is an extremely hard worker and has participated in locomotor training, guided exercise, and functional electrical stimulation over the last year and half. When he is not working directly with a trainer Adam spends time on his own working to strengthen his core and balance by utilizing the accessible equipment in the gym. Adam has improved his trunk strength and balance to assist him while performing daily activities such as transfers and driving. Adam enjoys being able to perform daily weight bearing activities in the parallel bars and standing frame so that he can stretch and maintain a healthy bone density.

The Community Fitness and Wellness program has made a positive impact on his recovery and quality of life as well as many others living with Spinal Cord injuries within our state and across the nation. Please continue to support our efforts so that we can continue to improve the health and wellness of those we serve.
