Children's Rehabilitation Center
This grant will help to support Fitness for the Physically Challenged, a program that provides children with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and other conditions opportunities to challenge themselves through fitness initiatives during physical therapy sessions. The program builds on the Center's highly successful program funded by the Reeve Foundation in 2006 called Challenging My Palsy Through Fitness, which incorporates music during physical therapy and gives children free time at the of each session to choose what ever activity they want to do, which is very empowering and fun. Grant funds support programmatic expenses. This grant was funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
