Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation Releases 2013 Holiday Gift Guide
Guide features items geared toward people living with paralysis
Short Hills, NJ -- November 25, 2013 -- The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation today released its annual holiday gift guide featuring more than 50 items for individuals living with paralysis.
Available on the Reeve Foundation's website at ChristopherReeve.org/GiftGuide, the 2013 gift guide showcases items in nine unique categories. The sixth annual guide provides a wide variety of ideas for the paralysis community based on budget, interests, levels of injury and creativity. The featured items were chosen based on suggestions from paralysis and spinal cord injury community members and professionals in the field, as well as Internet search results. Some items also include "Reeve Reviews" in which community members share their thoughts on the products.
"With something for everyone, from kids to kitchen items, the 2013 gift guide is the most inclusive to date," said Rob Gerth, Director of Digital Media for the Reeve Foundation. "We included items that are created specifically for the paralysis community, as well as gifts for anyone but that our community will find just as helpful and fun."
Some of the featured vendors also offer gifts that give back, in which portions of the proceeds are donated to the Reeve Foundation. Please note the Reeve Foundation has not endorsed or tested all of these products.
Examples from the 2013 Reeve Foundation Holiday Gift Guide for Individuals Living with Paralysis include:
- Fiskars Scissors -- With great grip and comfortable handles, Fiskars scissors are incredibly useful for those with limited dexterity and can make sewing and other craft projects much easier.
