Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2008: Actively Achieving
Camp Summit, Inc.
This grant will help to support the continuation of the Adapted Ropes Challenge Course Program of the residential camping program that provides a place where campers with all types of disabilities can come together to receive an opportunity for personal growth and life enrichment. Participation in the ropes course program gives campers an opportunity to experience the exhilaration of movement and to try and achieve new skills while working with peers in a group setting. Grant funds will support the purchase of programmatic equipment, supplies, and staff certification or recertification. This grant was funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
