Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2008: Actively Achieving
Freedom Service Dogs, Inc.
This grant will help to support a program that rescues dogs from shelters and trains them to be a certified service dog, a skilled companion dog or a professional assistance dog for people of any age, ethnicity, race or gender who have mobility impairments or disabilities, to enable them to live more independently. Grant funds will help to underwrite projects costs including the Precious Pet Mobile Hospital, dog food and treats, and canine occupancy. This grant was funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
