Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2008: Actively Achieving

Oklahoma State University’s Adaptive Sports Program
Stillwater, OK

This grant will help to fund the Oklahoma State University Adaptive Sports Travel Expenses Fund, which will meet the demands of basic travel for the wheelchair basketball team to travel to and from their season tournaments. The team will travel for competitive tournaments in Springdale, Arkansas; Arlington, Texas; Little Rock, Arkansas; Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Columbia, Missouri; and Whitewater, Wisconsin. Grant funds will help to support travel costs including an accessible mini-bus, travel trailer rentals, and hotel expenses for the tournament trips. This grant was funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
