The House, Inc.
Woodbridge, VA
$10,000

This grant will provide funding for The House, Inc.'s Fourth Annual 'Cinderella Ball' a dazzling prom night for middle and high school students with disabilities. Hosted at The Willard InterContinental Hotel, Washington, D.C., Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 6:00 pm, the Cinderella Ball celebrates these special young ladies and gentlemen that may not otherwise be able to experience a high school prom, and provides an unforgettable evening for their families as well. Grant funds will help to underwrite audio-visual costs for the event and two one-week summer camp scholarships to be awarded at the Cinderella Ball. This grant was funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
