United Cerebral Palsy Association of Suffolk, Inc.
This grant will help to support the purchase of adaptive medical equipment for the new UCP Suffolk Accessible Health Center in Central Islip. The equipment can be adapted to accommodate people with physical disabilities to enable such patients to receive as thorough a physical exam, medical diagnosis, and treatment as their fully able-bodied peers. Grant funds will help to underwrite the purchase of one barrier-free exam table, one universal power procedure table and one optometry chair. This grant was funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
