Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2008: Caring and Coping

This grant will support the King Adult Day Enrichment Program (KADEP), which provides a safe and enriching environment, nursing care and therapeutic intervention for 140 people per week who have multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, stroke and other neurological diagnoses. Grant funds will help to underwrite the purchase of exercise equipment for client therapeutic recreation, supplies for art therapy classes and gardening classes, transportation costs for client community outings, and monthly caregiver support groups. This grant was funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
