Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2008: Caring and Coping

This grant will help to fund the Consortium for Spinal Cord Medicine’s clinical practice guidelines for health care professionals and companion consumer guides which help people living with spinal cord injury put expert information to use in their daily lives. Since 1995, PVA has funded and administered a group of 22 health professional, payer and consumer organizations known as the Consortium for Spinal Cord Medicine whose mission is centered on creating evidence-based clinical practice guidelines: recommendations to health care providers based on current research findings that expert methodologists have graded for their scientific strength and validity. Grant funds will help to underwrite printing costs. This grant was funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
