Assistance Dogs of the West

This grant will help to fund the Assistance Dog Client Placement Training (CPT) Program, a two-week intensive course designed to enable both children and adult clients with disabilities to manage their own dogs and begin to build the special bond between animal and owner that is necessary for a successful working team. Grant funds will support programmatic expenses, including training tools, dog supplies, and transportation to training sites around Santa Fe. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
