Baltimore Adapted Recreation and Sports (BARS)
This grant will help to support Waterskiing For All, a summer program that offers adapted waterskiing for people with spinal cord injury and other paralysis-causing conditions. BARS is the only program in Maryland that offers an adaptive water skiing program for people with spinal cord injury. Grant funds will help to underwrite the purchase of programmatic equipment; specifically one Fresh Start Ski Board with block and toe plate, an aluminum sit-ski cage with quad back, and an aluminum sit-ski. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
