Quality of Life Grants: 1st Cycle 2009: Actively Achieving
East Coast Assistance Dogs, Inc.
This grant will help to underwrite the purchase of equipment for the assistance dog training program. The dogs need to become familiar with equipment used by the people that they will be assisting, and this funding will provide two wheelchairs and two seat cushions for the training program, and will also underwrite the purchase and installation of an automatic door opener at the training facility. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
