Push to Walk
The grant will help to support certification training for a spinal cord injury Exercise Recovery Specialist that will ensure that Push to Walk's newest Specialist will be thoroughly and expertly trained in spinal cord injury methods of exercise workouts and locomotor training. Once the new Specialist is trained, client hours will increase from 48 hours per week/200 per month to 78 per week/327 per month, and will enable participation by more clients. Grant funds will help to support the four-day training workshop in Activity-Based Therapy and Locomotor training conducted by the Reeve Foundation Neuro Recovery Network. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
