Quality of Life Grants: 1st Cycle 2009: Actively Achieving

This grant will help to support three 2009 CAN DO Programs in Colorado and Washington. The CAN DO five-day curriculum address all aspects of fitness, psychological well-being, and social interaction for people with multiple sclerosis and their support partners. The overall goal of the program is to teach people with multiple sclerosis and their support partners how to take charge of their lives within the context of their chronic disease. Programs are planned in Vail, Colorado in May and October, and in Seattle, Washington in July. Grant funds will support programmatic expenses. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
