Quality of Life Grants: 1st Cycle 2009: Actively Achieving

This grant will help to fund a project that will provide spinal cord injury patients treated at USH (including patients in the 72-bed ventilator unit) with access to mobile Wii consoles outfitted with adaptive equipment for use by patients with spinal cord injury. The Wii will be used to enhance the Recreational Therapy program with the objective of helping patients meet their rehabilitation goals more efficiently and effectively. Grant funds will help to underwrite the purchase of programmatic equipment. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000338).
