Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2009: Bridging Barriers

Pulaski County Sheltered Workshop, Inc.

Pulaski County Sheltered Workshop, Inc.
Richland, MO

This Quality of Life grant will help to support a project to upgrade the accessibility at The Pulaski County Sheltered Workshop, which is devoted to improving the independence, productivity, and integration of people with disabilities. The proposed improvement project includes the installation of three ADA accessible doors, which will automatically open and close, and will enable workers with mobility challenges the ability to enter and exit without assistance.

The project will further promote independence, productivity, and integration for all employees of the Pulaski County Sheltered Workshop. Grant funds will help to underwrite the costs to purchase and install one automatic accessible door. This grant was funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000388).
