Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2009: Caring and Coping
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association, Portland and
SW Washington Chapter
This Quality of Life grant will help to support the Respite Care program, which enables families in need to utilize an outside caregiver that can be hired periodically, allowing the primary caregiver of the person with ALS to take a break, rest, and return to their loved one with a renewed attitude of optimism and the energy to provide the best possible care to their family member. Grant funds will support programmatic expenses. This grant was funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000388).
