Quality of Life Grants: 1st Cycle 2010: Bridging Barriers

MetroHealth Foundation
Cleveland, OH

This grant will help to update and renovate MetroHealth's Activities for Daily Living (ADL) apartment, which assists patients by providing them with an opportunity to practice daily routines that they will be required to perform upon leaving the hospital, within close proximity to MetroHealth's rehabilitation staff. The ADL apartment will be updated with fresh paint, new carpeting, and furnishings, as well as renovation of the existing bathroom into an ADA-approved, wheelchair accessible facility. Grant funds will support programmatic expenses. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000338).
