Quality of Life Grants: 1st Cycle 2010: Bridging Barriers

Project Freedom
Robbinsville, NJ

This grant will help to support the Open Access project at an independent living facility for people with disabilities and their families. The project will install automatic opening systems on two first floor doors; one leading to the back yard accessible vegetable and flower gardens with raised planters; and the other to a concrete patio with shade trees for tenants and their families to enjoy. Grant funds will support programmatic expenses. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000338).
