Quality of Life Grants: 1st Cycle 2010: Bridging Barriers

The Jeremiah Project
Williamsburg, VA

This grant will help to support a program that brings accessibility to people with disabilities living in the areas of Winchester, Virginia and Romney, West Virginia. These communities are in the rural Appalachian Mountains and do not receive all the services that suburban and urban areas receive. Grant funds will be used to help underwrite the purchase of a portable ramp that will belong to the program. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000338).
