Quality of Life Grants: 1st Cycle 2010: Bridging Barriers

Wendell Fosters Campus for Developmental Disabilities
Owensboro, KY

This grant will help to fund the Community Computer Lab, which gives individuals with disabilities access to and training on computers. The lab will be fully-accessible with adjustable workstations, touch screen capabilities, modified programs, and educational software. Trained instructors will work individually with participants to help them reach their personal, educational, and vocational goals through computer technology. Grant funds will help to underwrite the purchase of programmatic equipment. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000338).
