Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2010: Actively Achieving

Camp Aldersgate
Little Rock, AR

This Quality of Life grant will help to support the 2011 Camp Aldersgate Spina Bifida Camp, which will offer 45 to 50 children, ages 6 to 18, an opportunity to participate in a week-long camping experience tailored specifically to children with spina bifida. This unique camping experience will not only provide these young campers opportunities to bond with new friends and develop self-esteem, but will also enhance their living and health management skills. Grant funds will help to support programmatic expenses. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000338).
