Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2010: Actively Achieving
Can Do Multiple Sclerosis
(formerly The Heuga Center)
This Quality of Life grant will help to support Can Do MS, a program that empowers people to move beyond their multiple sclerosis by giving them the knowledge, skills, tools and confidence to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors, actively co-manage their disease, and live their best lives. The overall goal of the programs is to teach people with multiple sclerosis and their support partners how to take charge of their lives within the context of their chronic disease. Grant funds will help to support two 5-day Can Do sessions to be held in Vail, Colorado in May and October 2011. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000338).
