Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2010: Actively Achieving

This Quality of Life grant will help to upgrade winter and summer adaptive equipment, including the addition the following equipment: one Freedom Factory Revolution Pro Comp RPCSS adult mono ski; one bi-unique child's bi-ski; and one Top End XLT handcycle. The mono ski and bi-ski allow children and adults with spinal cord injuries and other neuro-muscular conditions to participate in alpine skiing. The handcycle will be an upgrade to the aging fleet and will be used for summer cycling events and in the bike loaner program. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000338).
