Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2010: Actively Achieving

This Quality of Life grant will help to support the Adaptive Rowing Program, which serves individuals with disabilities in New York City. With the use of adaptive equipment, athletes with physical disabilities can row recreationally with any rowing team, and teams of adaptive rowers can row competitively in national and international events, including the Paralympic games. Grant funds will help to underwrite programmatic equipment. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000338).
