Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2010: Actively Achieving
Southeastern Minnesota Center for Independent Living (SEMCIL)
This Quality of Life grant will help to support the Adaptive Ski Program, which provides opportunities for children and adults with all types of disabilities to enjoy outdoor winter recreation. A variety of adaptive equipment is available, and trained volunteers provide instruction and or necessary assistance. Grant funds will help to underwrite the purchase programmatic equipment; specifically, a mono ski and installation of a lift. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000338).
