Annie Sullivan Enterprises, Inc.
Lawrence, KS

This project will teach medical rehabilitation residents, nurses and other therapists about current strategies to prevent or reduce the severity of secondary conditions that many patients with spinal cord injury and other paralysis-causing conditions in Perú encounter. Obesity prevention through physical activity and nutrition will be a critical topic. This is a model project intended to be replicated in other countries. Grant funds will support programmatic expenses. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000338).
