Quality of Life Grants: 2nd Cycle 2010: Caring and Coping
Craig Hospital Foundation
This Quality of Life grant will help to support the Nurse Advice Line, a free nationwide service for people living with spinal cord injury and their families. The Nurse Advice Line is a non-emergency health information hotline that empowers extremely high-risk people with disabilities to stay healthy. In 2011, the program will provide nursing advice to 1,100-1,400 callers, including people living with an injury, caregivers and general healthcare providers. This health-focused advice line is the first of its kind in the United States. Grant funds will support programmatic expenses. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000338).
