Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland (ARHM)
This grant will help to support the purchase and installation of the ZeroG Overground Gait and Balance Training System to help patients of all abilities to practice a wide range of intensive gait and balance activities in a safe and controlled environment. Utilizing this ceiling-mounted technology, training sessions would be customized for varying body-weight support, walking speed and fall distance and would include over-ground walking, dynamic balance and stability, stair climbing, side stepping, transfers, getting off the floor, deep knee bends, postural tasks, treadmill training, using assistive devices and fall prevention education. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award # 1U59DD000338.)
