Casper Mountain Biathlon Club
Casper, WY
$5,000 - Adaptive Sports

This grant helps to support a project that will host 2 10-day training camps for athletes with physical disabilities (civilian or military) who are new to the sport of biathlon. The camps will coincide with the 2 official United States Paralympic adaptive biathlon team camps that are already to be scheduled at Casper Mountain. The goal of the project is not only to serve people with paralysis, amputation and visual impairment in these two camps, but also to build a sustainable and replicable camp model that will continue to serve all levels of athletes with disabilities well into the future. Grant funds will support programmatic equipment costs. This grant is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Award #1U59DD000838-01).
