Alexandra Reeve Givens: Biography
Alexandra Reeve Givens, daughter of Christopher Reeve and Gae Exton, joined the Board of Directors of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation in 2006. Alexandra plays an active role at the Reeve Foundation, continuing its mission to find cures and treatments for spinal cord injury by funding innovative research and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy. In addition to participating in the Reeve Foundation’s fundraising initiatives, Alexandra is a member of the Quality of Life Committee, which funds programs across the globe that help people living with paralysis become more fully integrated members of society. Alexandra is a graduate of Yale University and Columbia Law School. She currently practices law in New York City, where she lives with her husband, Garren Givens. Young Professionals Network and Give Back Members get to know one another while planning and enjoying fundraising and “friendraising” events. A goal is also to offer our Champions opportunities to provide short-term consulting support to non-profits that receive Reeve Foundation Quality of Life Grants. |
