Life Rolls On (LRO), a subsidiary of the Christopher & Dana Reeve FoundationWhy create this new subsidiary with LRO and Reeve Foundation?Together, the organizations will provide the most comprehensive support for the SCI community through increased access to quality of life programs and resources nationwide. Life Rolls On's contemporary brand and unique quality of life programs resonate with young adults, while the Reeve Foundation is the leading resource for spinal cord injury advocacy, research and care. Is the mission of the combined group the same? Yes, both missions are aligned, focusing on care, cure and quality of life. What are the benefits for the Reeve Foundation? The Reeve Foundation will have increased access to quality of life programs, gain a younger demographic, develop and enhance a powerful brand and program, and provide an overall richer experience for its constituents. What are the benefits for Life Rolls On? Life Rolls On will have access to the nation's leading paralysis experts through the Reeve Foundation's Paralysis Resource Center. It will also benefit from the Reeve Foundation's extensive network in order to provide even greater support for individuals affected by spinal cord injury. Will LRO have a new name? No. The Life Rolls On name and brand is very powerful. It will become a strong and vibrant subsidiary of the Reeve Foundation. What happens to the Reeve Foundation and LRO events and programs? They will continue and grow, thanks to an expanded reach. How will this work? For those we serve, business will be conducted as usual with enhanced resources and services. Behind the scenes, both boards have signed a memorandum of understanding and upon completion of due diligence, Life Rolls On will serve as the West Coast headquarters and division of the Reeve Foundation. What happens to Life Rolls On's office and staff? The LRO subsidiary will become the West Coast headquarters for the Reeve Foundation and will remain based in Los Angeles, CA. LRO Chairman and Co-Founder Josh Billauer will join the Reeve Foundation board of directors and chair a steering committee to provide guidance for the West Coast office. The LRO team will remain in place and continue to expand in new markets. Where do I send my donation? Until the merger is complete, please continue to send your gifts to the organization of choice. What will Jesse Billauer's role be? LRO co-founder Jesse Billauer, who sustained a spinal cord injury as a result of a surfing accident 13 years ago, will continue as a powerful LRO spokesperson. Where do I go to contact the organizations or find more information? Both LRO and the Reeve Foundation will maintain separate sites, while integrating their content to better serve their audiences.
