About the Action Network

Nothing is impossible"I never imagined politics would
get in the way of hope."

- Christopher Reeve

The Action Network is an advocacy forum to keep individuals informed of legislation and initiatives being advanced in Washington. Membership is free -- to join, just click here and fill out our online form. Members receive regular e-mail updates, action alerts, and opportunities to come to Washington to meet with Members of Congress.

By joining the Action Network, you'll become part of a team of people who believe in the potential of science, in the regulation of stem cell research and therapeutic cloning by the United States government, and in the indefatigable spirit of the human heart and mind.

The Action Network was created to guard our hope -- that one day we will discover cures and effective treatments for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury, and that politics will not stand in the way of progress.

When people think of paralysis, it is the physical barriers that rightly come to mind. But there are also myriad political and legal issues that threaten progress on cutting edge research, quality of life, and disability rights.  The Action Network wants you to be educated, informed, and armed as an advocate. We believe that within knowledge -- and action -- lies hope.
