JESSICA & BRENT DENNISON
Louisville, KY
Brent & I are running the NYC marathon for Team Reeve in support of my mom (Becky) who is quadriplegic (C4/5) after a traumatic incident 11 years ago. This will be my first full marathon and Brent's third. What also makes this marathon so exciting is that we are running with my brother Byron Darnall, who is also on Team Reeve. My mom is my daily inspiration, she is an amazingly strong woman! We thank God for giving us the ability to run for all those who can't for this very important cause!

JAY QUINN
Denver, Colorado
I'm running with Team Reeve in honor of my brother-in-law, Henry Stifel.  Henry is a quadriplegic living a busy and productive life in New York City.  Every dollar raised will bring us one step closer to a cure for paralysis.  It is my dream to see this day arrive for Henry and so many others.  Run strong Team Reeve!

Tom DeGraan
Sandwich, Massachusetts
This will be my second NYC Marathon running with Team Reeve. I am running with the support of my friend John Pollick, who suffered a C-6 incomplete injury ten years ago. I am honored to be part of an organization like this and have a chance to help make a difference.

CHAD WOOLSEY
Winnepeg, Manitoba
When I was 16 I was hit from behind in hockey and suffered a serious back injury, I was lucky enough not to be living with any lasting effects. The months after my injury made me realize what it is really like for some people that were not as lucky as myself. I just want to try to make a difference.

DAVE IVALDI
Oakland, NJ
I have not run a marathon since 1994 and have undergone 7 knee surgeries suffered for years from orthopedic problems. There is great potential for advancements in treatments and rehabilitation is here and I'm happy to support the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation every step of the way.

KEVIN JOHNSON
Newton, MA
I am Christopher Reeve's half brother.  He has been a hero, mentor, and sports companion to me since I was quite young.  Being a part of Team Reeve is giving me the opportunity to not only commemorate Chris and the strength he gave to our family, but to raise money and awareness for what Chris fought so strongly for.

JILL VITALE
Deer Park, NY
This is my first time running a marathon and there's no better group to run with than TEAM REEVE!  It is my honor to help such a noteworthy cause.  The Reeves' story is very inspiring and when I'm real tired during a run, I think to myself, I'm lucky I CAN!

DAWN HERING
Brooklyn, NY
This will be my 3rd marathon, my 1st with Team Reeve.  I'm very excited to have this opportunity to run in honor of my dad, who has a spinal cord injury at the C-4 level and is quadriplegic.  My dad is my inspiration and biggest supporter, and I know he'll be with me every step of the way.

My family and I are so appreciative of the work that has been done by the foundation, and I'm honored to have this chance to show my support.

ZOE EHRLICH
New York, NY
I'm running in my first marathon and can't wait to do it with my fellow Team Reeve running mates!  I have undergone spinal surgery and know a few people who have significant spinal cord injuries.  I could never hold a candle to the strength they have, and for that I want to give back.  Raising money for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation is my way of helping.

MEGHAN DEVANEY
Larchmont, NY
I am running the ING New York City Marathon this year and dedicating my efforts in honor of my friend Taylor Price.  In 2004, just a few weeks before Taylor was to begin his freshman year at Georgetown University, he was injured at Westhampton Beach, NY, while diving into the ocean. Taylor suffered a severe neck injury which rendered him a quadriplegic. Despite his injury, Taylor has remained one of the most uplifting and inspiring people that I have ever met.   This is my chance to do something and I'm proud to do it with TEAM REEVE!

BILL KURTZNER
New York, NY

I started with Team Reeve in December 2006 after my father Robert suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the waist down.  In an effort to support him I signed up for the Miami half marathon and raised over $4000!  I want to continue to fight and support my father by taking on an even greater feat: 26.2 miles!  I’m looking forward to experiencing the great physical and emotional challenge!

BERNADETTE MAURO
Paralysis Resource Center
I have a spinal cord injury and am a C3/4 incomplete quad. I fervently believe that a cure is possible. It is a personal dream, yet I have a purpose larger than myself. In 2005, that purpose was Chris and Dana, this year it is my friend Amanda. I was unable to finish in 2005.

This year I plan to see the finish line. I will wear Chris and Dana's initials on one arm. These two gave us the gift of hope in the face of unconscionable tragedy. They dared to speak aloud the word: Cure. In doing so they put the fight back in the spinal injured community who, previously, had heard only the word: No. On the other arm will be the name and initials, Amanda/OJ, a 26 year-old Canadian woman with a C1 spinal injury who is fighting for her life both figuratively and literally.

Together we will make a difference See you at the finish line.
