TEAM BOSTON For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Boston Marathon, Heartbreak Hill is exactly what it sounds like. Runners approach between Mile 20 and 21, and even though it is only 80 vertical feet, it comes at the point where a runner feels like he/she is “hitting the wall." It is here that we hope each of you will have your thoughts with our 5 Team Boston members. They’ll need your cheers!
TEAM LOUISVILLE Our Team Reeve Louisville members consist of the amazing Chase Ford and his family, friends and therapists; Team FARM (friends of Mark Plummer another NeuroRecovery Network patient); and dozens of others who are coming out to support the Reeve Foundation and a loved one, friend, or coworker living with paralysis. Chase will be starting the miniMarathon, walking unassisted for as long as he can. When he gets tired, he will be pushed in a jogging stroller by one of his physical therapists, and will take his own final steps across the finish line. Visit www.thechaseison.org and share in our adoration for this little boy who each day brings us hope. Chase will surely inspire each of us as he crosses the finish line on race day. |
