This list encompasses all things medical from alerts to trackers. The apps not only help to track and monitor your health but some could even save your life! They were carefully chosen to aid and assist with issues or difficulties that may occur among wheelchair users.

smart ice 1. smart-ICE - In Case of Emergency by EMS Options is an app for all SmartPhones that gives first responders instant access to your medical records and personal information including current medications, allergies, emergency contact information, preferred hospitals and previous surgeries. The app is exclusive to your phone with no need to worry about public, Internet access to your information. With one touch of the button, ICE will call EMS for you and speak on your behalf if you are unable to. In order to be reached safely, an alarm will sound every 2 minutes to alert EMS of your location.

The latest feature on this app connects you with other people using the app via Facebook so you can speak with people who also suffer from chronic pain.

heartwise blood pressure 4. HeartWise Blood Pressure Tracker - According to the Paralysis Resource Guide, people with SCI have a higher risk of contracting heart disease at an earlier age than the rest of the population. They are subject to autonomic dysreflexia, a potentially life threatening emergency that could lead to stroke. High blood pressure is a symptom of AD. Fight the statistic by monitoring your blood pressure by tracking it, charting it, even tracking diet and exercise changes to see how those affect your rates in diastolic and systolic pressure.
