How our community's input shaped the look and feel of our new digital experience.

Over the years, the Reeve Foundation mission has grown and evolved. This progress has been evident through the introduction of educational resources, expansion of existing programs and new ways for supporters to get involved.

However, we lacked a vehicle to properly showcase our momentum and connect with our larger community. In short, we needed to revamp our website so that it reflected the breadth of our dual mission, Today’s Care. Tomorrow’s Cure, and offered a better experience for all users.

When we set out to create a new digital experience, there was a number of objectives on our list. First and foremost, we wanted to create a site that was visually compelling and reflected a new era of opportunity for the Reeve Foundation.

Based on your needs and interests, we are excited to introduce the newly designed ChristopherReeve.org with a sleeker look and smarter navigation around key categories, including:

Living with Paralysis: A comprehensive deep dive into helpful topics and educational materials for all individuals living with paralysis and their families. Whether you are newly injured or have been living with paralysis for some time, there is a wealth of information at your disposal.

Get Support: Ask questions, reach out for help, or connect with someone who understands. Our information specialists and peer mentors are readily available to empower community members. You can also learn more about our Quality of Life Grants Program.

Get Involved: This section highlights the many avenues to support the Reeve Foundation. From becoming an advocate to joining Team Reeve or volunteering, we offer the tools and opportunities for everyone to get involved, make a difference and further our cause.

Research: One of our goals with the new site is to share what is happening in the field of spinal cord research, as well as offer regular updates on our research programs like the NeuroRecovery Networkâ (NRN) and the Consortium.

Events: All year round, we host a number of Reeve Foundation and community events that you can register to attend in person or even virtually. Take a look and mark your calendar.

Blogs & Forums: Our vibrant online community is at your fingertips with stories that offer a firsthand perspective on navigating life with paralysis, as well as updates from the Foundation and breaking news on research.

About Us: Learn more about our founders, access annual reports and financial statements, meet the Reeve Foundation Board of Directors, and see how our work conquers headlines.

I also want to highlight my favorite addition to the site, Resources in your Area, which offers an interactive map showcasing our Quality of Life grantees and other local resources. Plug in your zip code and explore. The Reeve Foundation may be a national nonprofit, but we are also in your community and have a huge local impact.

One of the biggest changes from the old site to the new ChristopherReeve.org is that we are proud to offer a seamless experience across all screens so you can access the Reeve Foundation from your smartphone or tablet.

This is only the beginning. Our site will be a living representation of the Reeve Foundation and grow as we evolve with regular expansions and updates. We will roll out new functions and features, and continue to provide additional information to better arm our community with the tools they need to thrive.

This site was created for you with input and insights from fellow community members. However, your feedback is important and we hope you will continue to contribute your thoughts on how to make the site even more valuable.

I have to thank our partner Mint Digital who brought our vision to life and worked many late nights and weekends to perfect our new digital experience. You’re only as strong as your team and we joined forces with the best collaborators.

This project has been over a year in waiting and it reflects the combination of both art and metrics. I'd be remiss if I didn't signal out two key drivers behind our new website. The first was Matthew Reeve who was relentless in his pursuit to move this project forward. And mostly, it was the focused leadership of Rebecca Laming, our Vice President of Marketing and Communications. She championed the rebuild with the communications team working 24/7 to get us to launch.

I hope you find our new website to be a source of inspiration and a home base for Reeve community members and supporters to tap into our constellation of free resources. Now you can get support, get involved, and explore all that the Reeve Foundation has to offer.
