Walk to commemorate Eric LeGrand’s graduation from Rutgers University following a spinal cord injury in 2010

Short Hills, NJ – (March 18, 2014) On Saturday, June 14, 2014 A Walk to Believe -- One Step Closer with Team LeGrand will take place at 10:30 am EDT at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway, NJ. The 4th annual 5K walk is being held as a graduation celebration in honor of Eric LeGrand, the former Rutgers University football player who sustained a spinal cord injury while making a tackle in October 2010.

A Walk to Believe, benefitting Team LeGrand of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, Eric LeGrand Believe Fund, and Rutgers University Spinal Cord Injury Project, commemorates the importance of funding research and quality of life initiatives for the 5.6 million Americans living with paralysis.

"My graduation signifies another milestone conquered in my life," says Eric LeGrand, co-founder of Team LeGrand. "This momentous occasion would not be possible without the support of my teachers, coaches, family and friends. I hope that my journey and mission inspires others to believe and keep reaching for the end zone. It is an honor to celebrate graduation with the Team LeGrand community and raise critical funds for spinal cord injury research. I know cures are on the horizon -- all we need to do is to keep moving forward."
