Join long-time champions and board members of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, Julie Neustadt and Kelly Heneghan, at Celebrate Chicago on September 24. Help us celebrate Christopher Reeve’s birthday with an evening cocktail reception in one of Chicago’s most dynamic neighborhoods: Fulton Market.

The evening will include a special presentation by Andy Dolan, VP of Marketing, from medtech company, ONWARD. Andy’s experience includes time at ReWalk Robotics, Boston Scientific, and Johnson & Johnson, where he held commercial and product management roles focusing on educating providers and increasing patient access to treatments. He will demonstrate the promising impact of neuromodulation/electrical stimulation, which has shown tangible improvements in autonomic functions – bowel and bladder function, sexual function, and hand dexterity – for individuals living with a spinal cord injury.

About our hosts
After sustaining a T4 level spinal cord injury due to a swimming accident in 2003, Julie Neustadt became a fierce advocate of the Reeve Foundation’s mission and become one of the main driving forces in the Chicago area by supporting numerous community and fundraising events like the Chicago Marathon.

Kelly Heneghan has been a member of Reeve Foundation’s Board of Directors since 2009, and in 2016, she and her family received the Arnold H. Snider Visionary Leadership Award from the Reeve Foundation for the dedication and work they put into their rehabilitation gym Next Steps Chicago, which opened in 2004. The gym offers low-cost exercise therapy to individuals living with paralysis and is the legacy of her brother Jon O’Connor, who passed away in 2013.
