Polio: Epidemics and Society. By Tamra B.Orr. Rosen, 2011
This is an appropriate read for the younger reader who would like to research the history of polio in our society. It clearly chronicles the disease through its early days and concludes with current information. It also addresses PPS (post polio syndrome) and how it effects our older generation today. It includes a list of ‘Ten Great Questions to ask a Doctor,’ directed to the younger reader who may know an older person with the disease.
