“At first your dreams seem impossible, and then they seem improbable, then when you summon the will, they become inevitable.”- Christopher Reeve

When spinal cord research was in its infancy, Christopher Reeve united the brightest scientific minds to discover breakthroughs that would achieve his ultimate dream: a world of empty wheelchairs.

However, we need your continued support to speed the development of life-changing treatments, and transform Christopher's dream into a reality.

2017 is poised to be an incredible year for spinal cord research. Just look at the work of our newest Consortium member, Chet Moritz, who has married his knowledge of biology with the promise of technology. It’s inspiring to see young scientists take on the challenge of curing spinal cord injury because they know it can be done in a matter of years, not decades.

At the Reeve Foundation, we promise to never stop pushing for treatments and therapies that will tangibly improve the lives of individuals and families impacted by paralysis.

By making a gift today, you can help us achieve Christopher Reeve’s dream of a world of empty wheelchairs in the here and now.
