Free webinar on the Ombudsman Program

The Reeve Foundation invites you to attend a free webinar presented by the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP) on October 11 at 2pm EST. The session will explain the who, what, where, why, and how of the LTCOP.

The LTCOP advocates for residents of nursing homes, board and care homes, and assisted living facilities. Under the federal Older Americans Act, every state is required to have an Ombudsman Program that addresses complaints and advocates for improvements in the long-term care system.

Attendees will gain an understanding about what the LTCOP does, the population it serves, and how to work with the program. Additionally, this webinar will introduce the National Long-Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center (NORC) and share some resources available for LTCOPs and the long-term care residents they serve. The webinar will address the program responsibilities required by federal law, so the information is applicable in every state.
