Introducing Peer & Family Support Program office hours

Posted by Reeve Staff in Daily Dose on December 18, 2017 # Peer & Family Support Program Spotlight

Do you need to talk to someone who understands life with a spinal cord injury? Do you have questions about living with paralysis? The Peer & Family Support Program’s (PFSP) mentors are available to talk to you five days a week during the program’s office hours. This new initiative gives people living with paralysis and their family members the opportunity to speak directly with a mentor for support, guidance, information and answers or to find out how the PFSP works.

Office hours are held on Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time. To talk to a mentor during Office Hours, please call 973-933-7226. When you call, you will speak with a mentor who is living with paralysis and understands what you are going through. Our mentors will listen and offer advice and perspective; they can also answer any questions you have about the PFSP. Our mentors are prepared to help people who are newly injured, those who have been living with paralysis for years, and family members and caregivers. If you would like to be matched with a mentor for long-term help, our office hours mentors can submit a request for you.

The PFSP mentors are always available outside of office hours if you aren’t able to call during this time. You can request a mentor by completing our online application available at
