Introducing the “Faces of Reeve”

Posted by Reeve Staff in Daily Dose on September 02, 2016

To help kick off Spinal Cord Injury Awareness month, the Reeve Foundation is excited to launch a new storytelling vehicle called “Faces of Reeve.” The main focus of this campaign is to highlight and honor our vast network of supporters and partners. This includes donors, researchers, advocates, volunteers, ambassadors and community members—the champions who keep the Reeve Foundation mission moving forward.

These posts will be featured on our social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram, using the hashtag #FacesOfReeve. You can support this campaign by liking, sharing and commenting on the posts with words of encouragement for our incredible supporters.

Interested in being featured?

We are looking for more people to spotlight and stories to share on how the Reeve Foundation has impacted your life. Please answer the below questions (keep it brief: 3-4 sentences per question):

  • How has the Reeve Foundation influenced your life?
  • What is one thing you want people to know as an individual or caregiver impacted by paralysis?
  • What did Christopher and Dana Reeve mean to you?
  • What are your dreams and hopes for the future?

We will only select posts that include high quality photos. Please send your answers and 2-3 hi-res (2048x1365) horizontal photos of you either in action or an informal portrait to [email protected] Please see the below example posts for inspiration.

If selected, a Reeve Foundation staff member will share a brief quote pulled from your answers. Posts will be no longer than 80-100 words to share a snapshot of your life. We will also notify you a few days before your post goes live. That way you are ready to share it with your family and friends!

Thanks to people like you, our incredible supporters, we are moving closer to Christopher Reeve’s dream of a world of empty wheelchairs. Help us celebrate the distance we have traveled by celebrating the real heroes of the Reeve Foundation.
