The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is honored to be sponsoring and participating in this year’s 3rd annual Disability Pride Parade. Make sure to come and show your support on Sunday, July 9, 2017!

Nearly 1 in 5 people in the United States have a disability, 2.4 million people with disabilities above the age of 5 live in NY state alone. The Disability Pride Parade was created in 2012 by pianist Mike LeDonne, whose daughter is living with multiple disabilities, to help spread this public awareness and positivity throughout NYC. Last year, the event drew 5,000 people gaining attention from other countries following our example with parades now occurring in Sicily and Naples in Italy, as well as Brighton, England.

The parade will be held in Union Square and online registration is open until July 7th. Visit for more information and make sure to visit the Reeve Foundation’s booth on the day of the event. We will be sharing more details as they are announced.

See you there!
