New in the PRC Library…E-Books

Posted by Reeve Staff in Daily Dose on January 15, 2018 # News

The Reeve Library now has e-books and e-audiobooks in its collection. You can download an e-book or e-audiobook to your smartphone, tablet, or e-reading device (think Kindle or Nook). If you don’t own any of those devices, you can download the e-book to your PC.

Our e-books represent a variety of topics related to paralysis. There are autobiographies, manuals on various conditions related to paralysis (MS, stroke, spinal cord injury, etc.) and those that help you navigate paralysis covering topics such as Medicare benefits. There are e-books for adults, children, and caregivers. Here are examples of some of our new e-books:

-Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis Cookbook

-Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation

-Family Caregiver Manual

-Nothing is Impossible by Christopher Reeve

-Medicare for Dummies

-Polio Paradox

-Nujeen: el increible exodo en silla de ruedas (Spanish language)

Please contact the Librarian for more information or for your Library Card ID number and PIN number which are needed for e-book checkout. Please contact her at [email protected] or 973-379-2690 x7204.

A copy of these e-books can be checked out from the Paralysis Resource Center’s library.

Please see the “How to Download an E-Book” section in the online catalog and borrowing instructions. Then visit the Magic Wall to view our e-book collection and download the app that fits your device. The collection will continue to grow in the coming months and we are open to suggestions on any e-book titles you’d like to see in the collection.
