Nurse Linda: Bladder Management Webcast
Posted by Reeve Staff in Daily Dose on September 26, 2016
Nurse Linda will be holding a live webchat on the best practices of bladder management with a panel of experts from the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation
When: Wednesday, September 28
3:00-4:00 pm EST
Bladder control is affected at most levels of paralysis. The nerves controlling these organs attach to the very base of the spinal cord (levels S2–S4) and are therefore cut off from brain input. The most common method of bladder emptying is an intermittent catheterization program (ICP), which drains the bladder on a set schedule (every four to six hours is common).
Nurse Linda will be speaking on this topic and hold a Q&A session with fellow guests from Kessler:
Robin Bischoff, BSN, CRRN, Nurse Manager
Meredith Cole, BSN, RN, CRRN, Clinical Coordinator
Jane Mitchell, RN, BSN, CRRN, CCM, Senior Case Manager
