All of these books can be checked out of our Paralysis Resource Center Library. Please see the instructions for using the library at The online catalog can be used to find other books and videos related to paralysis.

Lesión Medular: Enfoque Multidisciplanario is the top pick of Trish, our bilingual Information Specialist. “There is a dearth of quality medical information in the Spanish language—especially in the spinal cord injury field and this textbook bridges that barrier. It has been used by me to better explain spinal cord injuries to people whose native language is Spanish.”

Believe: My Faith and the Tackle that Changed My Life by Eric LeGrand. This book is a preferred choice of Donna, Senior Information Specialist for the Paralysis Resource Center.” I often refer people to this book if they are looking for a motivational and true account of becoming spinal cord injured. LeGrand was injured during a televised college football game while playing for Rutgers. He has a great attitude and has been able to deal with the obstacles spinal cord injury brings into one’s life.” There is also a children’s version entitled Believe: The Victorious Story of Eric LeGrand.
